Ever think about the person who taught you how to do a skill each time you use it? When's the last time you told that teacher how much you appreciate them? Teacher appreciation week is the one week of the year set aside to let the teachers in our lives know how much they mean to us.
Teacher Appreciation Week is this week, May 7th to the 11th. Teachers love to get appreciation from current and former students too, so if you are an MBES Alumni, take a minute to come say hi, or drop a note to your former teachers! Here are some ideas of ways that you can express your appreciation for your teachers:
Say Thank You - it's such a simple thing, but it can make a big difference!
Write a note or a card - let them know about a special moment or event that meant a lot to you.
Draw a picture or write a poem - give your teacher a keepsake...

McMullen Booth Elementary School today celebrated International Walk to School Day. This is the second year in a row that MBES has participated in this event, which is designed to encourage safe and improved streets, healthier habits, and a more green environment.
Parents and students gathered at Soule Road Park before setting off on the journey down Soule road to Union, and then across the street to MBES.
Joining us on the walk this year were several local dignitaries and personalities to whom we owe special thanks: Peggy O'Shea, PCSB School Board Member, Neil Brickfield, Pinellas County Commissioner, Deputy Krause, Kevin Imperiale and 'Harry the Hound'. Thank you all for walking with us! And thank you to Jim Damaske, Photographer from the St. Pete Times for coming out to cover our event! We also want to thank our sponsors who donated items for the goody bags that were distributed to the kids after the walk - thank you to iWalk, the Health Department, All Children's Hospital, Celebration Station,...
