In this issue:

This month's newsletter takes a look back at International Walk to School Day, and a look forward to the Great American Teach-In coming up November 17th! We could really use your help to make the event go fabulously for our students!

Also, please take a moment to congratulate our newly elected Student Council representatives and the talented student artists chosen to represent MBES in a year-long art exhibition at the Pinellas County Administration Building in Largo!

Read all about it in the October 7th Issue!

McMullen Booth Elementary School today celebrated International Walk to School Day. This is the second year in a row that MBES has participated in this event, which is designed to encourage safe and improved streets, healthier habits, and a more green environment.

Parents and students gathered at Soule Road Park before setting off on the journey down Soule road to Union, and then across the street to MBES.

Joining us on the walk this year were several local dignitaries and personalities to whom we owe special thanks: Peggy O'Shea, PCSB School Board Member, Neil Brickfield, Pinellas County Commissioner, Deputy Krause, Kevin Imperiale and 'Harry the Hound'. Thank you all for walking with us! And thank you to Jim Damaske, Photographer from the St. Pete Times for coming out to cover our event! We also want to thank our sponsors who donated items for the goody bags that were distributed to the kids after the walk - thank you to iWalk, the Health Department, All Children's Hospital, Celebration Station,...
