Students at the McMullen Booth Elementary School may use the media center for browsing, checkout and research during school hours as long as they have returned their library/textbook permission form. A full time library information specialist, a library assistant, and a dedicated group of volunteers staff the library. Fall and Spring book fairs are held in the Media Center. The profits received are used for computer hardware and software, AV materials, and books that support curriculum.
Check Out
Flexible scheduling encourages students to borrow books as often as they would like, and books may be checked out for two weeks. There are no fines for overdue books, however, overdue notices are sent out monthly. Students are expected to pay replacement costs for lost or damaged books.
Internet Use
All students are encouraged to return their Internet Permission Form, as many of our educational software programs are web based. The county also has an excellent web filter to ensure safety while using these programs. The students only need this form filled out one time during their elementary years.
