Kathy Wickett serves the MBES learning community as its second principal following in the footsteps of Pam Moore who was the principal from 1997-2007. She is a Clearwater native and graduated from Clearwater High School. She has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Florida Southern College (1984) and a Masters of Arts Degree in Educational Leadership from University of South Florida (2002). After graduating from college she taught Comp Ed and worked in retail management. An opportunity in the company’s wholesale customer service department opened up and she worked there for 8 years before returning to the educational field. Kathy has been in the district for the last 13 years. She was a teacher at North Ward Elementary for 9 years and the Assistant Principal of Cross Bayou Elementary for 4 years. She holds Florida certification in the areas of elementary education and educational leadership. Kathy lives in Clearwater with her husband and 2 children (both in college).
